Programs: Introduction to Judaism

Introduction to Judaism

For anyone Jewish, "Jew-ish", or Jew-curious.

Whether you want to learn more about Jewish history and people, are considering converting to Judaism, or are eager to bring more Jewish culture into your life, the Miller Introduction to Judaism Program is for you.

The Miller Introduction to Judaism Program is an 18-week course that provides fundamental knowledge, practical skills, and clarifying insights into Jewish culture. No matter your age or background, everyone is welcome to join Intro to Judaism and learn about the Judaism's holy texts, and the Jewish people's many rituals, values, and holidays. Each cohort will explore Judaism’s past, present, and future with guidance from community rabbis and other Jewish clergy in the Kansas City area. Consider taking this Jewish class to find out more.

This course is taught through a collaborative educational partnership with The Miller Introduction to Judaism Program of American Jewish University.

Please note: We will not hold class on September 25, October 2, December 18, 25, or January 1.

Text book, course materials, additional resources and more are included in program tuition of $150.

This is an in-person course with a hybrid virtual option upon request. Scholarship is available on an as-needed basis. Contact Brendan Howard, [email protected], for more information.
