The Menorah Heritage Foundation was formed by the merger of the Jewish Heritage Foundation and the Menorah Legacy Foundation on April 1, 2016. This “American Idol” style competition awards the $10,000 Edward & Ellen Rose Family Scholarship to the best high school singer in the greater Kansas City area. An invaluable experience for the contestants, this event also raises funds for the Jewish Community Center’s financial assistance programs that benefit individuals, children, families, and senior adults.
This fund was established to help young people interested in the performing arts to pursue their passion for the arts. Reat loved singing, dancing, and performing, and this fund honors his spirit and memory.
Following the April 13, 2014 tragedy at the Jewish Community Campus and Village Shalom, a group of caring individuals decided that we, as a community, have the power to outshine and overcome such senseless acts of hate. SevenDays presents an opportunity for young and old to embrace diversity across races, religions, and cultures. The SevenDays events promote understanding, and encourage kindness to "Make a Ripple to Change the World."
Founded by Royals General Manager Dayton Moore, this foundation benefits four major "bases": youth baseball, families in crisis, education and faith-based programs and organizations. The J hosts C You in the Major Leagues baseball camps during the summer.
