Heritage offers a variety of entertainment, happy hours, and trips each month, as well as movie matinees on Mondays, card games, and more throughout the week. Read below for more information on our available programs!
Mahjong Lessons

Interested in Mahjong lessons? Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation with a degree of chance as well. It is of Chinese origin, played by four persons with tiles resembling dominoes bearing various designs, which are drawn and discarded until one player wins with a hand designated on the card/ rules.

Bridge Play

Free for Members | $2 Non-Member
Learn to play and develop strategies with Christie Thomas Collier. There's a brief instruction period followed by open play.

Travel & Trips With Friends
Want to not only travel with a group of people but also be adventurous? Heritage travels are for those 55+ who are looking to add excitement and community to their lives. Our travel group in Johnson County takes trips that may include taking in the scenery with a hike, shopping, sightseeing, and going to a museum—you just never know!
Day Trip: Overland Park Farmer's Market
Wednesday, July 8
Join us as we visit the newly renovated and expanded Overland Park Farmers’ Market! Vendors offer a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, locally made foods, and unique specialty items. The Farmers’ Market is a great way to shop local, eat seasonally and support the community. Preregister by July 6.

Day Trip: Irish Center
Tuesday, Aug. 25
Visit the Irish Center of Kansas City for a demonstration of the “perfect pour” of Guinness and a lively Irish dance performance. Browse Browne’s Irish Market, a Kansas City landmark since 1887, for authentic Irish goods before heading to Conroy’s in Westwood for lunch. Preregister by Aug. 18.

Day Trip: Live Well Age Well Expo
Thursday, Aug. 27
Find resources and information to help older adults truly live well and age well at this year's expo, featuring a wide range of informational booths from local businesses and Johnson County Government agencies. Attendees can explore services that support health and wellness, independence at home, financial stability, lifelong learning, and caregiver support—all designed to keep aging adults active, connected, and thriving. Preregister by Aug. 20.

Groups are invited to come and play! Reservations are required as space is limited.
Personal drinks and snacks are allowed.
Do you want to join or start a gaming group? Call 913-327-8044 and tell us what game(s) you are interested in. Once we have enough players for that game, we will set up the first day of play and then your group can decide on a regular schedule that works for everyone.
