Audition Opportunities at The White Theatre

The White Theatre at The J is a 465-seat, state-of-the-art performing arts venue that hosts dozens of performances each year. We are able to put on these productions because of amazing local talent, like you!

Auditions are conducted for each show separately and are held at various times throughout the year. Generally, our auditions are:

For the Fall Musical: July-August
For the Winter Musical: November
For the Spring Play: December
For the Summer Musical: March-April
For our New Works Production: May

While we are a community theatre, we routinely partner with professional theatres and produce professional-quality work. Performers of all levels are welcome, from seasoned professionals to first-time auditioners. ALL are welcome to audition, regardless of religion, age, race, color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or body type. Auditions will be held on The Lewis & Shirley White Theatre stage unless otherwise noted.

"A Chorus Line"

This production is being produced by The White Theatre at The J and is a volunteer-based production.

Auditions:

Saturday, July 11:
- Singing Sessions from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Dance Sessions from 2-4 p.m.
Video auditions will be accepted until Friday, July 10 at 5 p.m. Please still fill out an audition form and send your video audition to Emilie. Those who are sending a video audition may use a track.
Callbacks: Monday, July 20 from 6-9 p.m.

This audition will include a vocal and dance portion. Please prepare 1-minute or around 32 bars of a song and bring sheet music with a clearly noted audition cut. An accompanist will be provided. No in-person tracks or acapella auditions will be allowed. Those who are sending a video audition may use a track.

Character Breakdown Show Information

Important Dates:

Rehearsals will begin on Oct. 11. Rehearsals are from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4-8 p.m. on Sundays
Shows begin on Nov. 7 and will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through Nov. 22.
