J Camp – Theatre Camp - a premiere theatre experience! Two unique Theatre Camp sessions, Road to Broadway and Summer Stock, teach campers more about acting, creating performances, and everything behind the scenes! We ask that those enrolling for Theatre Camp programs plan to be available to attend each day of the two-week or four-week Theatre Camp and attend for the full day.
We ask that those enrolling for Theatre Camp programs plan to be available to attend each day of Theatre Camp and attend for the full day (9 a.m.-3:45 p.m.). Theatre is a group activity, and it is difficult if campers are not available for all of the rehearsals. We understand things come up and if they do, please let us know, so we can determine next steps. If you have questions, please contact Barry Birkmeyer.

Step into the spotlight this summer with J Camp’s Road to Broadway, where campers bring Shrek the Musical KIDS! to life! Over two exciting weeks, you’ll experience real theatre magic — from auditions and learning lines to singing, dancing, and performing on stage for family and friends. In between rehearsals, campers dive into swimming, archery, crafts, and all the fun J Camp has to offer — plus an awesome field trip to round out the experience!
Important: Auditions will be held on the first day of camp. Campers who are absent that day will be placed in the ensemble. Additionally, total absences must be limited during this two-week session to ensure full participation in the production. Join us for an unforgettable two weeks of summer — where imagination, friendship, and Broadway dreams take center stage!
Experience the magic of Broadway this summer in J Camp’s Summer Stock Theatre Camp, featuring Disney’s Frozen JR! Over four weeks, campers will dive into the world of theatre — from auditions and learning lines to singing, dancing, and bringing this story to life on stage. Campers will perform in the beautiful White Theatre, complete with professional lights, sound, and costumes for an incredible final performance that Campers will never forget! In between rehearsals, Campers will enjoy swimming, archery, crafts, and all the fun J Camp activities — plus an exciting field trip during the session.
