Kindness Rocks

Patrons at The 2023 Jewish Culture Fest held in Overland Park, Kansas had the opportunity to spread kindness. One of the activities in the Family Pavilion was to paint a kindness rock.  At the festival, participants are encouraged to paint kindness rocks and place them around their communities to help spread kindness, one rock at a time.

When you find a rock, take a picture and post it to your own social channels with a comment about where you found it and hashtag #KCKindnessRocks

In order to keep spreading kindness, re-hide the rock and paint a new rock with an uplifting message or picture. PLEASE NOTE: if you find a painted rock, please do not paint over someone else's design.

Once you have painted some rocks, it's time to hide them. You can hide the rocks anywhere. Part of the fun of this is seeing just how far your rock will travel! Some places to consider include; parks, libraries, restaurants, shopping centers, community centers, mailboxes and playgrounds. Please make sure to hide your painted rocks outside of businesses unless you get permission from the business owner to hide them inside.

That's it! Now you're ready to take part in the KC Kindness Rocks Project! Happy rock painting...and let’s spread kindness all around us!
