Our Fitness Floor

Our fitness floor provides you with year-round options to get your sweat on and all included with your J membership!

The fitness floor at The J offers a wide range of cardio equipment to choose from. Work on strength training with our free weights, barbells, and weight machines. Use our indoor track to walk and run laps or use the straight away for customized workout. No matter your preferred method of exercise, our fitness floor has all the resources for you.

Cardio Options

  • 50+ pieces of cardio equipment for year-round heart-pumping exercise including treadmills, bikes, rowers, stair steppers, and ellipticals
  • Indoor track for no matter the weather

Weights

  • 70+ pieces of weight equipment to complete your own programming
  • Strength training weight machines by Precor, Cybex, Life Fitness, and Technogym provide detailed screen instructions for proper form and range of motion
  • Free weight room space complete with racks and benches, barbells and plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, plyo boxes, and more

Stretching

  • Stretch tables and trainers available to maintain mobility and flexibility at any age

Get Your Teen Working Out at The J

Kids who learn the value of health and fitness early are more likely to maintain those habits as adults, which is why The J is committed to offering a diverse array of youth fitness programs. We provide a wide range of training options designed to suit ages 6-15, recognizing that young adults have different preferences when it comes to fitness. From intense programs like Meshugge CrossFit and speed and agility training to lower-impact options such as our youth yoga classes, The J offers something for every young athlete.

Youth Orientations

The J provides kids ages 12–16 with expert guidance from experienced instructors in a supportive environment, helping them build strength, flexibility, and agility while learning the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle. Through programs like the Youth Fitness Floor Orientation, they also gain safe, hands-on experience with cardio and weight machines, reducing their risk of future health issues and fostering a lasting passion for fitness. 

Why does my child need to complete an orientation?

  1. Safe use of equipment introduction to fitness and healthy habits
  2. Fitness floor etiquette is addressed to ensure a positive and safe environment for all
  3. Injury prevention coached through correct body movement patterns
  4. Comfortability using the fitness floor
