Heritage offers a variety of entertainment, happy hours, and trips each month, as well as movie matinees on Mondays, card games, and more throughout the week. Read below for more information on our available programs!
Mahjong Lessons

Interested in Mahjong lessons? Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation with a degree of chance as well. It is of Chinese origin, played by four persons with tiles resembling dominoes bearing various designs, which are drawn and discarded until one player wins with a hand designated on the card/ rules.

Bridge Play
2nd, 4th, & 5th Mondays | 1 p.m. | Heritage
Free for Members | $2 Non-Member
Learn to play and develop strategies with Christie Thomas Collier. There's a brief instruction period followed by open play.

Travel & Trips With Friends
Want to not only travel with a group of people but also be adventurous? Heritage travels are for those 55+ who are looking to add excitement and community to their lives. Our travel group in Johnson County takes trips that may include taking in the scenery with a hike, shopping, sightseeing, and going to a museum—you just never know!
Day Trip
Clendening Library and Museum
Thursday, March 19
Take a guided tour of The Clendening Library & Museum on the KUMC campus, and learn about the history of medicine and anesthesia in Kansas City. Following the tour, we will stop at Panaderia de las Americas, where you can purchase Latin American bread, cakes, pastries, and more. We will then have lunch at Tarahumaras Mexican Restaurant in the heart of Kansas City, KS.

Meet Up: Mitzvah Day at Heart to Heart International
Tuesday, April 28
During this meet-up, we’ll volunteer at Heart to Heart International, assembling hygiene kits for underserved communities. Heart to Heart International’s primary mission is to provide health resources and distribute essential medicines and supplies to under-resourced health partners worldwide.

Groups are invited to come and play! Reservations are required as space is limited.
Personal drinks and snacks are allowed.
Do you want to join or start a gaming group? Call 913-327-8044 and tell us what game(s) you are interested in. Once we have enough players for that game, we will set up the first day of play and then your group can decide on a regular schedule that works for everyone.
