Stages Youth Theatre

The J’s STAGES youth theatre class, is the perfect fit for the beginning student who wants to give the world of performing a try or the intermediate student who wishes to hone her or his skills. Our teaching artists will work with your child to explore his or her own talents and build these important life skills:
Creativity - Students will be encouraged to think innovatively, and use their imagination.
Collaboration - Students will work together toward a common goal.
Discipline - Built through passion, determination, and practice, students will learn to focus and persevere.
Empathy - By exploring diverse roles, students expand their horizons and potential.
Confidence - Students, the leaders of tomorrow, will learn to be confident in their decisions and choices.
Each session/semester culminates with a student performance for friends and family.

Stages Fall: Anastasia: The Musical (Youth Edition)
From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family.

Stages Spring: Shrek The Musical Jr
Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.
