The over five thousand years old Hebrew calendar is based on a unique combination of the lunar and solar cycles. In the Hebrew Calendar, a month always starts on or near a new moon and has either 29 or 30 days (a lunar cycle is about 29 1/2 days). Just as the seed contains the DNA of the entire tree, the first day of the new month contains all the distinct forces that will be revealed that month.
These monthly meetings will facilitate the study of the Hebrew month and its meaning, the astrological sign (according to the Hebrew Zodiac) that is associated with the month, and the potential positive and negative aspects of the month along with the spiritual energy associated with it. In order to set intentions for the month and plant positive seeds, we will end the session with a short meditation on the Kabbalistic Hebrew letters of the month.
