The KC Jewish Culture fest is a fun, family-friendly event filled with art, music, flavors, and connections. Before you step into the excitement, there are a few essential things to know to ensure your experience at the Jewish Culture Fest on Sunday, Oct. 15 is unforgettable. 1. Visual Artists: Unveiling the Canvas of Creativity
A spectrum of visual artists will be on display, each telling their stories through intricate designs. Take time to explore the Aspiring Arts exhibit featuring works from emerging artists ages 16-20. Check out our additional Visual Artists who will be displaying and selling their work. Engaging with the artists, who are from throughout Kansas, Missouri, and the Midwest including Kansas City, Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Leawood, Blue Springs, St. Louis, Belton, Grandview, can provide unique insights into their inspiration and creative process, deepening your connection to their work.
2. The heart of our fall festival beats with a rhythm
Performers will ignite the stage with music and dance. Plan your schedule to experience a range of performances, creating a symphony of memories. This year’s performing artists will be:
- Family-favorite, kiddie rock artist ShirLaLa at 12 p.m.
- A cappella phenomenon the Maccabeats at 3 p.m.
- Jewish Americana artist Joe Buchanan at 5 p.m.
- The J’s own Encore Dance & Acro program at 2:30 & 4:30 p.m.
3. Food: Savoring Culinary Adventures
It wouldn’t be the Jewish Culture Fest without food! Check out the list of kosher food vendors on our website in advance to make the most of your culinary journey. Dive into the array of flavors, from traditional to contemporary kosher dishes. Don't hesitate to try new delicacies – this festival offers a chance to explore new tastes and indulge your cravings.
4. Sustainability: Contributing to a Greener Future
This year’s festival celebrates Judaism’s commitment to environmental sustainability, championing eco-conscious practices to minimize environmental impact. Head over to Electric Avenue, presented by Aristocrat Motors and Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City, where you can test drive electric cars and bikes (from local e-bike company Pedego). Be on the lookout for WaterOne’s Quench Buggy, a 300-gallon tank, fitted with taps and drinking fountains, that dispenses chilled water so you can refill your personal water bottle. Then

The Jewish Culture Fest is a family event conveniently located in Overland Park! If you're attending with children, the kid's corner is a treasure trove of entertainment and learning. The Family Pavilion Kid’s Corner will include stations with creative and physical activities to get kids moving and expressing their ideas. These family activities will be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to work and play, too!
