What is CrossFit?
CrossFit training is functional movements done at high intensities. It is important that you take the intensity level and define it for yourself based on your athletic and fitness levels.
This program is for anyone wanting to take it to the next level, get in shape or would just like to switch up their routines. It includes all modalities of training (Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics movements, and metabolic conditioning) and can be scaled to meet athletes needs.
CrossFit - CrossFit, also known as “The Sport of Fitness," incorporates a variety of weightlifting, calisthenics,, and cardiovascular exercises to help keep you prepared for anything life throws your way. Each and every component of the workouts can be modified and scaled to accommodate your fitness level or physical limitations. Classes typically consist of a 15 to 20-minute group warm up, a 20-minute strength session, and finally, a 5 to 15-minute workout of the day, A.K.A. the WOD. A Workout of the Day (WOD) combines strength training and cardiovascular conditioning by using both body weight and weighted exercises performed either for time or for task. CrossFit classes are for mixed-level athletes that have experience with CrossFit style classes.
CrossFit On-Ramp class - Prior to starting classes, new members without previous CrossFit experience will be required to enroll in a 2-hour On-Ramp class. This class is designed to teach new members fundamental movements that will be performed throughout all Meshugge CrossFit classes.
