An evening with comedian Joel Chasnoff + Israeli Chef Einat Admony
Enjoy 30 minutes of comedy from Joel Chasnoff about his Jewish upbringing, his experiences as a lone soldier in Israel and his current life in Israel. Chasnoff then welcomes Einat Admony to the stage for a light-hearted interview discussing everything from cooking school to Admony's internship with Bobby Flay and the challenge of being an Israeli - and a woman - running restaurants in the male-dominated culinary scene of Manhattan. Then take in a cooking demo, followed by a robust, no-holds-barred Q&A.
The program concludes with a luxe dessert reception and book signing
$36 per person (includes a take-home sweet!)
About the Guests
Israeli chef Einat Admony has won the Food Network’s Chopped! competition twice. She’s the chef and, with her husband, owner of Balaboosta, a “Mediterranean meets Middle East” restaurant. Chef Admony’s newest project, Bar Bolonat, is now open in NYC! Comedian Joel Chasnoff has toured the world, served in the Israeli army, and wrote a best-selling memoir called The 188th Crybaby Brigade about his experience in the IDF.
In 2012, Admony and Chasnoff teamed up to write Balaboosta—an award-winning cookbook featuring Einat’s Mediterranean recipes and hilarious anecdotes about what it takes to make it as an Israeli chef in New York.
