Our play-based learning environment welcomes all children to learn, play and grow at an individualized pace in a warm, loving environment.
We offer families of children ages 12 months through five years both full- and part-time care in a secure environment designed with age-appropriate equipment and décor, encouraging children of all faiths and cultures to learn and grow together, reaching their full potential.
We strive to provide the right:
Environment in which to learn
Tools for rich social and pre-academic development
Paths for successful emotional growth
Curriculum
The curriculum, based on Jewish traditions and values, is designed to promote self-esteem, independence, cooperative skills, and the ability to problem-solve. The CDC uses two curriculums to engage students. The Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, research based curriculum that features exploration and discovery, encouraging children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills.
Hand-in-hand with the Creative Curriculum is our Judaic curriculum that explores Jewish values, traditions and culture. Universal and Jewish values of caring and sharing are emphasized in our classrooms, fostering self-confidence that results from a well-rounded experience.
Enrichment
In addition to our curriculum and child care in Kansas City, The CDC can be a "one-stop-shop" for children to participate in age-appropriate activities such as American Red Cross swimming lessons, FUNdamentals of sports, dance and tumbling, enrichment classes including cooking, art, science, and more!
Hear why parents love the CDC at The J!
"You created a nurturing environment where they learned and laughed, and certainly grew as people. You skillfully managed to equally value/model personal responsibility and letting unimportant things go. That's a tough trick, and the kids are better for it."
