Singing Competition in Kansas City
11th Anniversary of KC SuperStar
Annual Fundraiser for The J
Now in its 11th year, KC SuperStar is an “American Idol” style singing competition in Kansas City that awards the $10,000 Edward and Ellen Rose Scholarship to the most talented high school singer in Kansas City, as well as scholarships for the 2nd - 4th place winners.
KC SuperStar is a one-of-a kind experience of learning, growth and friendship for high school students. More than 200 students from the Kansas City metro audition and compete to make it to the finals. As The J’s major fundraiser, donations from KC SuperStar help support financial assistance and programming at The J, providing meals, transportation, education, camp, arts and wellness to our members and community. We couldn't do it without the amazing community members that step up and support The J for this amazing annual fundraiser. Thank you to each and every one of you.
